Columbus overcame a 3-0 deficit to triumph over Tampa Bay 7-6 in overtime, spurred by Zach Werenski's impressive five-point performance. Werenski equalized during the second period and contributed assists on three goals. Although Tampa Bay started strong, they could not hold their lead after the second period as Columbus netted four goals. Brayden Point’s power-play goal came just 23 seconds into the game, while Kent Johnson, returning from injury, scored both on a power play and while short-handed.
