Nico Hischier achieved his first career hat trick, propelling the New Jersey Devils to a 5-2 victory against the Nashville Predators. Hischier scored all three of his goals in the second period. Erik Haula and Justin Dowling also found the net for New Jersey, while Filip Forsberg and Zachary L'Heureux scored for Nashville. Jacob Markstrom recorded 19 saves for the Devils, and Juuse Saros stopped 26 shots for the Predators.
