Game Recap

Jack Eichel of the Vegas Golden Knights scored the decisive goal in the shootout, securing a 5-4 comeback win over the Philadelphia Flyers. Ilya Samsonov successfully stopped all three attempts in the shootout, with goals from Eichel, Barbashev, Dorofeyev, and Pearson contributing to Vegas's victory. On the Philadelphia side, Emil Andrae, Matvei Michkov, Morgan Frost, and Sean Couturier each found the back of the net. Despite Ivan Fedotov's 26 saves, it wasn't enough to prevent the defeat. Vegas's Noah Hanifin faced challenges in defense, while Frost missed a significant chance to clinch the game for Philadelphia in the third period. After conceding four goals on the first 14 shots, Samsonov managed to stop 25 of the next 29 shots he encountered. Up next, Vegas will head to Colorado on Wednesday, and Philadelphia will travel to Nashville. Read the full game analysis.
